Double Die Cutting with YNS Wave Panel
/Before we get into the card today I have some very exciting news to share. I am super excited to say I am joining the Your Next Stamp Design team. I have always loved YNS cute and adorable critter stamps sets. One of the very first stamps I ever bought was YNS Silly Monsters, which is still available. (I have included a picture at the end of the blog entry of one of the first cards I created with the stamp set way back in 2014. No giggling now.) So I am very looking forward to working with everyone at YNS, they have such a great team of people creating and sharing wonderful ideas.
Today’s card uses the Wave Panel die which I have used quite a bit, just in the short year that I have had the blog. The die has appeared on this blog in: Contact Paper as a Mask and Wave Die and Alcohol Pearl.
Get the Look:
Adding interest to, but keeping the background neutral. Take a favourite background stamp and clear emboss it on a neutral gray card stock. Cut to 3 1/4” so that it leaves a 1/2” gap on an A2 card base. Add to A2 card base.
Browse thru your paper packs (this may take a long or short time depending on how big of a paper pad hoarder, ahem collector, you are). Pick out a nice colourful sheet.

Keep die cut elements together with some cling film or masking tape. Carefully remove frame and save that for another project. (I’m thinking, clouds in background with perhaps a shaker element).
Pick out another shape die, circle, square, heart, star etc… Position circle etc… where ever you think looks best over the die cut wave panel (Image B)
Die cut the shape.
Stamp, colour die cut or fussy cut a favourite critter. In this case I used Unicorns Rock stamp set. Emboss sentiment on one of your waves.
Die cut a slightly larger circle etc… out of white card stock. Mount the die cut wave with foam tape onto the circle.
Adhere critter to circle.
Mount the circle onto card base over background.
