Stepping Up Winter Bouquet with Foil and Shimmer
/Hello there, Sam here. Playing with the new LDRS Creative festive Holiday Release. Love how the Winter Bouquet Collection gives you a variety of different options, stamp, stencil and die depending on your favourite way to craft. For today I am using the Winter Bouquet Etched Die. Such a detailed die that has embossed details throughout the floral and an outline die.
Prep Work:
Die cut the Winter Bouquet Etched Die from both metallic green foil card stock (remove internal pieces) and light pink cardstock.
Die cut from white the Celebrate sentiment from the Elegant Sentiment Die set 3 times.
Cut a dark blue panel (slightly lighter tone than Dark Wash Jeans ink) that measures 3 1/2” x 4 3/4”.
Grab an A2 size (4 1/4” x 5 1/2”) card base.
Get the look:
Ink blend around the Dark Wash Jeans ink. This will create a vignette and graduation from dark to slightly lighter tone blue.
Adhere the dark blue cardstock to the A2 card base.
Using a light green shimmer paint or a green shimmer mica spray, splatter the dark blue cardstock and card base.
Lay the green foil winter bouquet outline in bottom right corner over hanging edge, off the card base in a position you like. Glue and trim the excess of the flower bouquet.
Take the remaining green foil flower bouquet outline and position in the upper left corner. Glue and trim off any access.
Using Peachy Keen ink add some shading to the pink flower petal pieces. (Save the pink winter bouquet frame for another project).
Inlay and glue the pink flower petals in the metallic green frame.
Glue the 3 pieces of the celebrate sentiment together to give them some sturdiness and depth.
Adhere the Celebrate to the card.
Happy papercrafting : )
