Your Next Stamp March Release Preview: Totally Retro

Welcome to Day 2 of Your Next Stamp March Release. I am having fun playing with Totally Retro stamp set and also the coolest geometric slim line die that just happens to be called Slim Geometric Panel Die.

Each preview day, YNS will be giving away the stamp sets being showcased. Each individual set will go to randomly selected comments left on the YNS blog, YNS Designer’s blogs or YNS IG. When I first saw this stamp set I knew I wanted to involve rainbows, sparkles and dancing unicorns.

Get the look:

  • PREP: Die cut a slim line card base of 9 1/2" x 8 1/2”. Cut a white card panel that is 3” x 8”. Die cut the slim geometric panel twice out of white card stock. Lastly die cut the slim geometric panel die out of acetate.

  • Using the slim geometric panel die cut out of acetate to create a stencil. Use stencil to apply glitter paste overtop the 3”x8” panel in select sections. I used post it tape to mask off areas where I wasn’t adding glitter paste. Wash stencil. set panel aside to dry.

  • Using your method of choice colour and fussy or die cut the juke box from the Totally Retro stamp set and unicorn from Unicorn Rock’s stamp set.

  • Stamp and fussy or die cut musical notes.

  • White emboss sentiment onto black card stock, cut it out as a strip.

  • Layer and adhere the 2 pieces of cardstock slim geometric panel over the dried glitter paste to get full effect of the panel. The 2nd layer adds a more finished look, but single panel works if you prefer. Attach the geometric panel to the card base. Arrange and attach images, notes, sentiment and any additional bling to the card.
