Spring Card Camp: Day 2

So while spending so much time at home, I love how Jennifer McGuire and Kirstina Werner’s Online Card Classes course Spring Card Camp gives us a new idea everyday for making two for one cards. Every morning I find a new video link in my inbox with a skill to practise and/or many idea that has taken me out of my crafty comfy zone. It’s a great way to try out new ideas and grow as a cardmaker. For example these cards I created are based on Kristina’s day 2 tutorial: one stamped paper for two cards is definitely is not my typical style, but pretty happy with how they turned out.

Get the look:

  • Highly recommend that you check out the ‘Spring Card Camp’ for Kristina’s detailed instructions, on how to create the split image for two cards.

  • For my cards I used Concord & 9ths Hello Lovely floral bouquet stamp set. I have coloured the set many times in the past with copics and water colours, but I have never actually used the additional fill in stamps. Stamping some of my favourite ink pads to give the image a very loose coloured feel. Loved how it looks!

  • Then mounted floral image halves on coloured card bases that colour wise complimented the images. White embossed Waffle Flower Label Greetings stamp set for the sentiments on black card stock. Finished with a few sequins and additional stamped black splats.
