Ah l’amour. Anybody remember Pepe Le Pew; the french skunk always on the look out for love from Looney tunes. Usually things didn’t end well since he was chasing after a cat who wanted nothing to do with the stinky skunk. Well for Jane’s Doodles Challenge #3 theme of love I choose to use Stinks stamp set and dies. In addition to creating a birthday card full of kitten cuteness for my friend (last post), I also wanted to create a set of cards for her to use. I don’t always mail my cards, but I do like to pull together a set of cards for my friends as birthday pressies. Continuing to use the Oh my Whiskers stamp set from Honey Bee Stamp allowed for a continuity between all the cards and yet they all use different mediums and styles.

Ink on 3 Magical Unicorn: Rainbow Challenges

Ultimately when you choose to go the rainbow route what colours should you choose for the rest of the card. The plan from the get go was to create a rainbow unicorn. And initially I was really happy with how the zig clean real brush markers blended to create a rainbow mane and horn. But then how to handle the flowers; rainbow would be just too much, perhaps some light pinks and greens?
